AHD CCTV Camera & DVR (Analog HD CCTV)
Analog HD CCTV also known as AHD CCTV. It produces high definition video at 720p and 1080p resolutions.
What Cable Should You Use?
The AHD CCTV technology carries video signal via your existing RG59 or RG6 coaxial cable. AHD CCTV technology can also use Cat 5e / Cat 6 cable with video balun. So far in our experience, you can safely use RG59 coaxial cable (good quality cable) up to a maximum distance of 305 meters for AHD cameras.
Why we recommend AHD?
AHD technology is open standard that is publicly available. AHD technology is having 90% market share so cost wise AHD is slightly cheaper because of its production volumes. Another strong reason is that AHD cameras and dvrs are widely available in Malaysia market. You will have no problem finding spare parts in the future.
