Alarm Problem – False Alarm
This morning we received a service call to repair a Paradox Alarm System for a house in Pandan Jaya, Cheras. According to the customer, his house alarm was installed recently, the installer tried to configure and troubleshoot the system since it was installed. The installer had been on the job only few years and was totally inexperienced and untrained.
Problems found:
1. Too many sensor points are shared with the same zone. As you can see from the photo, there are only 3 zones. It is ridiculous.
2. The system is not configured properly.
What we do to rectify the problem?
After we spent few hours troubleshooted the system and we finally had everything sorted out. The sensors were reset, the alarm cables were properly and accurately terminated and the Paradox was re-programmed.
The Paradox alarm system is now up and running again.
By installing an alarm system, you are reducing the risks of being a victim of crime. Sadly, they are many unethical and inexperienced installers out there.
