1. Missing alarm sensors. The double sided tape used to attach the magnetic contact sensor is dried out and causing the magnetic contact sensor to fall.
2. Misalignment can cause a big gap between the magnetic sensor and the switch. The maximum allowable gap for standard magnetic sensor is normally up to 1.5cm.
3. In most cases, you may have a damaged wire. If the problem wire is used for 2 or more zones, then you might have multiple faulty sensors. It is often caused by bad alarm wiring. It is sad to say there are many culprits in security industry. We have seen many alarm companies join leftover cables.
